ABOUT CHRISTIE

Christie Dauphinee always excelled at whatever she put her mind to. She grew up in a family of health care professionals who inspired her to study the body. Christie currently holds a Diploma of Acupuncture and Traditional Chinese Medicine with specializations in cosmetic acupuncture and facial rejuvenation. Christie loves all aspects of TCM and is very skilled at performing fire cupping, Gua Sha, electro-acupuncture, and facial cupping.

Her interest in learning more about the body started long before she took an interest in Acupuncture. She became certified as a Strength and Conditioning coach. Her blend of Pilates and resistance training became well known in the city and landed her a job at Lifemark Sports Medicine at Canada Games Centre in Halifax, Nova Scotia. At Lifemark she closely collaborated with an interdisciplinary team that included physiotherapists, chiropractors, medical doctors, massage therapists, occupational therapists, and clinical counselors. This experience at Lifemark inspired her to obtain all the prerequisites for Physiotherapy. However, while preparing for admission to physiotherapy she had a change of heart due to very successful treatments with acupuncture. Christie found that acupuncture was helping her body as a whole which then led her to complete a Diploma of Acupuncture and Traditional Chinese Medicine, again obtaining straight A’s.

Christie now knows she has found her true calling and is focused on being the best acupuncturist she can be. She is also excited to use her advanced skills in cosmetic acupuncture to give her patients a natural option for antiaging. Her passion for Traditional Chinese Medicine is magnetic and she looks forward to helping Nova Scotians live healthier lives.
